Anti-Virus Software
31 Mar
Have you ever been infected with malware/virus? Well if your using Windows as your operating system you most likely have, even if you don’t know it. Typically these days, anti-virus wont save you, and you will most likely end up having to format and re-instal windows. But I have put together a list of anti-virus packages that might be able to help, in some cases – not all of them though. Do you have Norton on your computer right now? Well if you do, here are a few steps. Un-install Norton – place the Installation CD in the box it came in – and now for the crucial step! Take that box, throw it on the ground, stomp on it, destroy it, do whatever is necessary. Just make sure it is no longer usable, or in your possession. Okay, yes – I’ve had some issues with Norton, and Im not a fan of it.
Ad-Aware – Ad-Aware is developed by Lavasoft, and I have worked with some of their employee’s – Ad-Aware is a must.
AVG – AVG is a very user friendly anti-virus application that does not take up that many resources. Another must for the average user. AVG should be used with Ad-Aware to provide stronger protection.
Blink – Blink from Eeye Software is Free however extremely powerful and easy to use. Blink is used by many corporations & large companies. Blink should be used on its own and not with any other Anti-Virus packages.
